ISAIAH 43:18-19

Remember not the former things, Behold I will do a new thing

God is always trying to remind us to look towards our future and not the past. We can’t control the past, but we can focus on the miracles around us today. People hold so tightly to the past that they missed the new things God wants to show them. What controlled us in the past doesn’t have to control us in the future.

It doesn’t matter if our past is full of regret from our own decisions or from being involved in a negative situation. We are to realize can’t go back to make changes and we can’t control negative people, but we can choose joy for ourselves. We can’t in hear the words that once shaped our hearts, but we can replace them with truth from Scripture.

God wants to give us hope  and remind us that tomorrow doesn’t have to be like yesterday. Yesterday we might have been burdened by others’ expectations or by our own choices, but today we can walk in the freedom of a new life in Jesus.

My help comes from the Lord, maker of Heaven and Earth   Psalm 121:2
